It is funny how time has changed me...now I rarely shoot pure black & white! Now either I enhance my colors or mute them to regain that emotional look! I was even complimented by another local photographer who said that I am not afraid to use my color! I brought some of my black & white images to share! Some are sepia toned and one was even hand-colored with oil by a former partner..enjoy!

Black & White in Black and White!
When I was shooting professionally on the West Coast, I did about ninety-five percent of my portrait work in black and white. I was known for it and very rarely did any color images with the exception of weddings! In black & white you can capture more emotion without the distractions of the color. You also have to learn how to work with tones and how certain colors will react in black and white.
